We are seeking 6 – 8 Diverse actors of all races, ages, and gender identities who can play multiple characters. Theatre Frisco supports diversity in its casting and encourages all ethnic and gender identities to audition.
Actors auditioning for Phileas Fogg, the British adventurer, should be male presenting and be able to do an upper-class British dialect. Actors auditioning for Aouda, the woman who falls in love with Fogg, should be female presenting, preferably BIPOC Actors auditioning for Passepartout, Fogg’s French valet, should be able to do a French accent and have some gymnastic-type skills. All actors should be comfortable speaking in a variety of accents for multiple characters, including Scottish Detective Fix, British Club Members, Newspaperman, Elephant Owner, Yankee Ship Engineer, Bombay Police Director, Chinese Broker, Western Cattleman Proctor, Reverand Wilson’s Maid – all roles can be played by male-presenting and female-presenting actors. |
Compensation: | All cast members will receive a stipend. Theatre Frisco pays a $300 stipend for all actors. |
