Over the River and Through the Woods by Joe DiPietro is a heartwarming, family-centered comedy that follows Nick, a young Italian-American from New Jersey, who enjoys Sunday dinners with both sets of his doting -- and sometimes overwhelming -- grandparents. When Nick announces he's been offered his dream job across the country, his grandparents hatch a series of schemes (including setting him up on a blind date) to convince him to stay. Full of humor, heart, and the universal struggle between honoring family and chasing personal dreams, this play is a touching reminder of the bonds that tie us together. |
