| RENT needs no introduction. For those who know it by heart and those who don't, we all might find a different kind of appreciation for it now after WE have loved and lost through a global pandemic, a detached government, a clear attack on the arts and free speech. It's a story about joy and fear and friendship and shame and change and the revolutionary act of love - and how we pay our RENT in all seasons of the life that is given to us, however much of it we are granted. This production will look to honor the music, the times, the legacy, and the artist - who day in and day out tries to string together just the right words, just the right melody, just the right camera angle in hopes that one day it will save someone's life. |
